It has taken me 30 years to figure it out. The challenge is not that we don't listen to each other, it's that we cannot HEAR what the other is saying. We don't speak the same language; women and men.
Only confusion can result. We try to process what they've said, and only complicate things further. The story gets in the way; impossible to decipher what they meant, we let our thoughts dictate...
What I need is a translator. An on-call, language barrier-buster.
